New Release
I am offering digital canvas reproduction prints of this old classic. It was a breakthrough piece for me. The wow factor piece for my first solo show, my first large painting that came into…fruition..(see what I did there?) That first show was the catalyst that launched me into my art career! On top of all that I was blessed to receive a note from a hero of mine, mycologist, Paul Stamets!
Showing me that magic is alive in the world if it’s alive in you!
I received a lot of notice for the Mycelium Matrix body of work. This piece in particular was featured in a few publications including the inside cover for a Dutch coffee table book about mushrooms and culture. It was featured as the backdrop for an article interviewing the amazing and inspiring author, Merlin Sheldrake who was promoting his brilliant book ‘Entagled Life’. This painting has been absorbed by inspired minds as it was toured throughout Saskatchewan as part of an educational art experience. Now you too could enjoy this excitement in your own home!

“Mushrooms represent some of nature's finest examples of art and elegance. As we delve deeper into the science of mushrooms (mycology), we emerge into new worlds previously hidden. The cool thing about mushrooms is that they inspire both artists and scientists. Artists broaden the exposure of what scientists, by nature an eclectic group, conceive, test and confirm. Artists interpret and broaden the imagination of scientists, hinting at new frontiers. Mycologists and artists inspire one another, in a dance of exploration that enriches our culture. As an avid collector of mushroom art, I am delighted with this exhibition.

“The difference between animals and fungi is simple: Animals put food in their bodies, whereas fungi put their bodies in food. Fungi make worlds”
