THE APPRENTICESHIP VIBE

This isn’t a class.
This is a real creative studio - and you’re in it.

You’ll work alongside a professional artist, learn how real creatives focus, build, and stay with their work - not just for a day, but for the long haul.

You’ll experience:

  • Shared focus blocks

  • Real-time mentorship

  • Hands-on creative process

  • What it’s actually like to live a creative life

GUEST ARTISTS

Throughout the cycle, guest artists drop in to show you how they work - no lectures, just real talk and live demos.

Each week, we do something to feed the work:

  • Hikes, sketch sessions, new tools + techniques

  • Site visits or creative labs

  • Inspiration in motion

MONTHLY OPEN STUDIO DAYS

This is where your work leaves your sketchbook and enters the world.

Every month, you’ll take part in Open Studio days - open to the community - where you can:

  • Exhibit your work on real walls

  • Sell your art

  • Share the story behind what you’ve made

  • Talk about your process

  • Practice presenting your work with confidence

  • Learn how to curate a show that actually feels like you

This is where your work can be seen.
This is where you prepare for the real thing.

WANT TO GO DEEPER?

You can also step into hosting and leadership roles, learning how shows actually happen behind the scenes:

  • Welcome guests and host events

  • Set up a gallery and curate the space

  • Write artist statements and wall text

  • Create invitations and tell the story of the show

  • Help with documentation, photos, and social media

  • Learn how artists share their work with the world

I am the creative catalyst at Wild Haven - a professional artist and teen mentor devoted to supporting young people through real creative work and meaningful mentorship.

This apprenticeship is run in collaboration with Sacred Oak Way and in partnership with Wild Haven in Chirripó, Costa Rica, weaving land-based practice, artistic discipline, and human connection into a living creative ecosystem.
